PLANNING FOR SUCCESS

Now that you have an Action Plan in hand, you are on your way to success! Please ensure that you send your finished plan to us so we can help keep you on track.

This page is to help you implement your action plan successfully. The following are key documents that you may want to use or create.

checklist

This checklist will help you keep track of your action plan tasks, and includes links to resources at every step. It covers all actions from 2 months prior until the day of the event.

We recommend you edit the document to suit the actions shown in your action plan (deleting any actions you have chosen not to complete) and assign a team member and due date to each task. If you are using event management programs, you can easily transfer the checklist details across.

template event policy

If you feel that you need some additional help to enforce your action plan, you can create a plastic-free policy. The purpose of a policy is to outline what the actions of your plastic-free agenda are and how you will enforce them, so you can clearly communicate to your team and stakeholders what is expected and enforce outcomes.

We have a template plastic-free policy you can use to create this. It's based on all the actions covered in the induction, and you can edit to your requirements. If you have an event policy in place already, you can simply add this component to it.

plastic-free program overview

If you have any stakeholders who want to know more about the program and what you're trying to achieve, the following program overview document can be provided to them. It covers what the program is, why we (and you) are doing it, and what is involved.
